The story of a dragon who is reluctant to fight has inspired many recent books, movies and animations.  In this version Kenneth Grahame's boy hero is young underdog Widget.  He and his sidekick Hairytoes overcome their the doubters and bullies and triumph as heroes!  Mortimer is lovable and very funny as he learns to become a real dragon.  Gentle as the original story, yet fast-paced and exciting, ArtReach's dragon play is perfect for young performers.

Just for Kids: Speeches and vocabulary are appropriate for child performers ages 6 - 14.  Glossary included in Teachers Guide.
