ONCE upon a time there was a
prince
who wanted to marry a princess; but she would have to be a
real princess. He travelled all over the
world searching,
but she
was nowhere to be found... |
This
adaptation of the
classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale is
a full length, two act version ideally suited for Junior
and Senior High School productions.

|
|
|
|
Set
in Medieval England this
new version of The Princess and the Pea is easy
to stage with lots of notes
for teachers and directors
on how to achieve an excellent
production. The
script requires a simple background drop and various easy to build
pieces. There are also costume
suggestions that won't break your budget. |

This
script has been
adapted for the many educators who have requested
a full
length play without
the bother of musical numbers. The
cast includes speaking
parts for over 30 performers. Using
suggestions outlined in the script you can easily cast this play
with as many or as few performers as you like. The Princess and the
Pea will make the
best use of your auditorium and resources. |

"My
students couldn't put Princess and The Pea
down when we did the read through.
Everytime I said "Let's take a break" they
actually fussed."
Carol
Ellingson, Home Connections, Blaine, WA
Everyone
gets to participate and every audience member will go away pleased
with the experience!

"This
wonderful adaptation by Kathryn Schultz Miller contains
all the magic and enchantment that
fairy tales hold over children
(and adults!) There are laughs,
magic and most of all, FUN
for the entire family."

"What
a marvelous show! It had enough humor, romance, mystery,
and action to keep
our audiences entertained
and eager for more.
We added music, familiar songs, here and there throughout the show,
which added an extra fun zip.
The community simply couldn't
say enough about how fun
and delightful this show was. And our
cast had the time of
their lives - they're ready for more!
Thank you for providing such a terrific
show!"
