ArtReach's Haunted Houses is small cast one act play for young audiences.  It is the story of four youngsters who tell spooky stories in an old house.  As they talk the stories turn to their own lives which they share together learning more about friendship and growing up.  Funny and poignant, this play may be performed by adults or young people in theatres or schools.

ArtReach Touring Theatre, Cincinnati, OH

Play about Childhood Hopes and Dreams! One dark summer night... four young friends enter an abandoned, dark mansion. The eeriness of the place lights their imaginations and soon they are telling each other stories, not about goblins, but the quiet fears of everyday life.

"Playwright Kathryn Schultz Miller's ability to find theatrical forms that hold the precious stuff of ideas together is quite remarkable."
Steven Anderson, Artistic Director, Catco, Columbus, OH

"The values imparted through Haunted Houses were outstanding for our children."

Small Cast Plays for Kids - Haunted Houses

ArtReach's play 'Haunted Houses' is a Play for Young Audiences about Friendship, Families and Growing Up.  Haunted Houses toured the Midwest extensively with the ArtReach Touring Theatre. When laughter turns -- tenderly -- toward serious concerns young audience members feel they have made new caring friends. Just like the characters in the play, they see paths to courage and empowerment.
